Our Approach
We start with the person, not the car. Everything we do, from the first conversation to the first solo drive, is shaped around one individual, their family and the life they want to lead.
What guides our work
DOMO was founded by people who live with disabilities. We know what it means to plan a day around someone else's availability, and we know how much changes when that is no longer necessary. These beliefs guide every decision we make.

Every person is different
No two bodies, budgets or goals are alike, so no two training plans are alike either.
Families are part of it
We bring parents, partners and caregivers into the process, so the confidence built in the car carries into life at home.
We finish what we start
Training is one step. We also help with the car, its modifications and the concessions available, until driving is part of daily life.
Honest advice
We tell learners what will work for them, even when it is not what they hoped to hear, and we never push the costliest option.
Change the world around the driver
We work with families, the automotive sector and organisations, so persons with disabilities are understood and served better.
The journey: Dream, Dare, Do, Drive
Every learner who reaches the driver's seat passes through four stages. We drew them as a steering wheel, because a wheel turns only when every spoke holds.
Dream
- Believing that driving is possible, often for the first time.
DareFinding the courage to begin, with support from people who have lived the same doubts.
DoBuilding the skill through personalised training in an adapted car, with the family alongside.
DriveMaking independent driving part of everyday life, at work, in study and with family.

How we know it is working
We look beyond the number of sessions we deliver. What matters is what changes in a person's life afterwards, and whether that change lasts.
Outputs
What we deliver: assessments, training, guidance and family support.
Outcomes
What changes soon after: confidence, travel to work or college, time with friends and community.
Impact
What lasts: independence, steady work and study, and a fuller place in society.
We are also careful not to claim every change as our own. Families, employers, retrofitters and, above all, the learners themselves play their part. You can see this approach at work in Real Life, Real Change, through the stories of Achla, Inshah, Rahul and Shivangi.
Whether you want to learn to drive, support our work or bring inclusion into your organisation, there is a place for you here.
