A small step that changes a whole day
When a person cannot travel on their own, every outing has to be planned around someone else. A parent takes leave. A friend makes a detour. Often, the person simply stays home.
Learning to drive an adapted car changes that. Our learners have gone back to work, moved to new cities for their careers, and in one case, fulfilled a lifelong dream at the age of 70. You can read about them in Real Life, Real Change.
Yet adaptive driving training is hard to find and costly to reach. Some of our learners travelled from other states to train with us. Many more cannot. Donations help us bring this training within reach of people who would otherwise go without it.

Every learner moves through four stages, the same ones described in Dream, Dare, Do, Drive. Partners can support one stage or all four.

We also welcome help in kind. A training car fitted with hand controls, adaptive equipment or professional skills can go a long way.
Why give to DOMO
DOMO is a Section 8 not-for-profit company, founded and led by people who live with disabilities. We started with one woman’s wish to drive, and we built our work around the four stages every learner goes through, described in Dream, Dare, Do, Drive.
We stay with each learner from the first conversation until driving becomes part of their daily life. We acknowledge every donation and share updates on what your support has made possible.
